  1. How can Dwellworks Move help my employees and me?

From free moving quotes to temporary living and rental home searches, Dwellworks Move is a one-stop-shop to navigate the moving process and give your employees access to valuable relocation services. We handle logistics, essential accommodations, and moving services, so you can focus on what matters most - giving your employees confidence about settling in quickly at their new destination. Many HR leaders are new to relocation and so are most employees. Our job is to put our expertise at your service – so you can focus on the talent needs of your business, and your talent can focus on their new jobs and look forward with excitement to their new opportunity, knowing an expert is there in their new hometown to make the relocation simpler and smoother.

 

  1. What are the core services offered by Dwellworks Move?

Temporary Living – Furnished accommodations for a few weeks to several months, based on your company policy and the level of support needed. We provide temporary housing solutions at a variety of price points and in every major market in the US (and globally).

 

Shipping Household Goods – If your company offers to pay for moving your employees’ household goods, you’ll need reliable, vetted, and relocation-experienced movers to ensure responsible packing and safe delivery. Dwellworks Move can coordinate quotes with outstanding moving services agents coast to coast, specializing in all sizes of moves from apartments to executive homes.

 

Rental Home Finding – The rental market is challenging, and demand exceeds supply in many markets. Dwellworks has been the rental search resource for over 500,000 professionals and their families. With a local presence in key markets everywhere, we know the landlords, property managers, property developers, and real estate agents and can source well-matched housing for your employees, at their price point. We search online and through direct engagement with housing providers to reduce the stress of home search and quickly get employees back to focused productivity.

 

Support Services – Registering for Social Security? Need referrals to resources like banks and car dealers? Figuring out local leasing laws or access to local resources for families and special needs? We do all that. Tell us your employee requirements and we’ll design the right solutions and support.

 

  1. Which cities do you provide services in? 

Dwellworks Move (Dwellworks) is the world’s largest housing and destination services solutions provider for relocating employees and their employers. We offer local, in-person, nationwide destination services in 15 countries.

 

We provide furnished temporary living and long-term rental housing services in hundreds of cities across the globe. Our service network includes highly-trained Destination Consultants who love helping people settle into their new neighborhoods. Every service uses a combination of online and mobile tools, plus the expertise and access to a local expert partner, our Destination Consultant.

Many employees need short-term housing so they can arrive immediately on the job and have a place to live while they consider their long-term housing options. If your company makes these valuable benefits available to your employees, Dwellworks Move can provide a solution with a professional temporary housing partner anywhere in the world. We can make a reservation, coordinate the move-in and move-out date, and we’ll manage the stay and transition to long-term housing while coordinating your employee’s authorized service benefits - one less stressor removed from the relocation list.

  1. Will the service be conducted via phone or in person?
    We deliver our services in line with what your employee feels is most convenient for them. Dwellworks Move partners every employee authorized for our services with a local Destination Consultant on day one. These ‘local lifelines’ provide invaluable services. The first step is a simple, data-protected transfer of key dates and employee expectations from your system to ours. From there, the Consultant will introduce your employees to myDwellworks, our online portal with rich local content, and tools for easy communication on property search, itineraries, and coordination of services. Most employees use myDwellworks as a resource to learn about their local destination, and then interact directly with their Consultant, by email, phone, text, and in myDwellworks for answers to their personal and specific needs.

    We offer a similar combination of digital "browse and select" tools for temporary living. Once a choice is made (with options that meet your company guidelines for price and other specifications), the Dwellworks team coordinates each employee’s move with follow-up emails, move-in instructions, and local on-the-ground resources throughout their stay. Every guest staying with us in temporary living is also given free, exclusive access to our Xplore app with curated guides on how to live, work, and play in their new town. 

 

  1. What’s the typical length of the service benefit?

Some services may take longer for families or couples than for someone transferring on their own. Needs are personal and we respond accordingly. Our team is here to give everyone a realistic timeline for accomplishing their priority needs based on the amount of consultation time you authorize as a company and the amount of time the employee needs to move. We flex our schedules to those of the transferring employee.

NOTE: Consultative destination services are not delivered all at once but typically over a period of about 30-60 days, in regular communication between your employee and their Consultant. The services can be delivered 100% virtually -but we find most clients and employees prefer a hybrid of virtual contact and on-the-ground, in-person meet-up on arrival or for a househunting trip.

  1. Can you help with leasing a car? 

Yes! When arriving in a new country, an employee’s credit history and license to operate a vehicle do not usually 'travel' with them. Because of this lack of credit history, it can be difficult to be approved for car leasing, or purchase. We have partners who can assist with financing, car leasing or purchasing across the globe. 

 

  1. Can you help with finding a school for children?

Yes! Our Destination Consultants understand the importance of matching children to the best educational experience in the new destination and will provide a comprehensive overview of the local public, private, and international schools. Note that our service is not school placement or educational testing – it’s identifying school resources so parents/guardians can make informed decisions.

 

  1. Can you arrange to pick up our employee at the airport?

Yes, airport pickup is a service option. It’s an add-on to our core services and a great option to start your employee's in-country experience off with a trusted local expert on arrival.

    9. What is the standard service fee?

Fees are charged by ½ and full days. The fees are discounted for longer lengths of service – the daily rate for a 4-day program will be less than for a 2-day program, for example. Dwellworks always only charges for the time used. If a 4-day program is completed in 3 days, we charge for 3 days.

 

10. Can I add services? Are the options flexible?

Yes. What we've learned from our 20+ years of delivering destination services is that no two moves are exactly alike. There are a lot of core, basic expectations, which allow us to set up a standardized and competitive ‘daily rate’ structure, but every individual and the people they move with have different needs. A ‘couple’ may also have elderly parents' needs to consider, a single parent may need extra time assessing schools, daycare, commute schedules, and more. We do not dictate the length of benefit – we provide guidelines and can flex up and down to be responsive and respectful of the diverse needs of your global talent population.
